Mr. Urmas Klaas

Greetings and Salutations!

Dear friends from near and far,

Welcome to Tartu, the capital of Southern Estonia!

I’m very happy to be sharing our city with everyone taking part in the ITFR 15th World Championships.

Tartu is a historical university city as well as a city of new technologies and entrepreneurship.

Tartu is also a city of culture as we are bidding to become the European Capital of Culture 2024.

May you find plenty of wonderful landmarks in our city and enjoy every summery moment of the

competition – happy memories that will hopefully linger well after the event.

Urmas Klaas

Mayor of Tartu
